Carrara MarbleEpoxy Recipe

Regardless of it’s beauty, real marble surfaces are very difficult to maintain. Marble is actually a very compressed version of limestone, which makes it porous and prone to chips, cracks, and scratches. Stone Coat epoxy is heat-resistant, scratch-resistant, and ideal for the every-day wear and tear of a kitchen environment.

Worktop Resin’s 6-step guide to product selection:

Typically, the name of the product (eg. Art Coat or Flooring Epoxy) will be an indicator for its suggested use. But we do recommend a level of planning for any project.

The end use and conditions for any project is key. For example, Art Coat has an extended working time with added UV inhibitors for maximum Ultraviolet resistance. Even if your project is exposed to sunlight, it’ll last for years to come! Use of Ultimate Top Coat will also delay the effects of resin yellowing.

Epoxy Undercoat will seal and bond a firm foundation for your project. This will give your resin a thicker and denser look, while also helping it last longer. Great for MDF, plywood, veneer, laminate, tile, and other porous materials!
Countertop Epoxy and Art Coat are categorised as coating resins, which are applied to the full surface of a face material or substrate in layers. Whereas casting resins have a slower cure time and can be used for thicker/deeper pours. A common application would be River Tables.
Worktop Resin stock a collection of resin powders which are designed to add colour vibrancy to clear resins. Go bold, keep translucency or mix together for one-of-a-kind creations. Got a specific look in mind? Try granite, stone or marble spray paints. Natural finishes, straight out of a can!

UV, heat and scratch resistant Ultimate Top Coat will preserve the integrity of your epoxy project for years to come. Available in a Glossy or Natural finish.
